In the Spotlight - Work Smart, Stay Safe: Working Safely with Zoontoic Diseases Videos

Hello Digest Readers,

The NBII Wildlife Disease Information Node (WDIN), the people who bring you the Wildlife Disease News Digest, are trying something new for its Friday posts. Instead of bringing you a news summary, we will be showcasing an assortment of interesting and useful nuggets of information on Fridays, such as web resources that may have been overlooked, a summary report of a past wildlife disease incident or a reminder list of upcoming wildlife disease related conferences.

Your comments about this new format are welcome. Please email your feedback to wdin@usgs.gov.

Avian Zoonotic Diseases: Work Smart, Stay Safe

An on-line course presentation is in the spotlight this week. The USGS National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) presented a 90-min seminar entitled ‘Avian Zoonotic Diseases: Work Smart, Stay Safe’. This seminar provides information on potential risks and biosafety measures for handling avian species. (Note: You will hear the presenters for a few seconds before the presentation is visible)
