Field Manual of Wildlife Diseases: General Field Procedures and Diseases of Birds
USGS National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC)
A publication from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Field Manual of Wildlife Disease is freely available at the USGS National Wildlife Health Center web site. The Manual focuses on conveying practical information and insights about wildlife diseases in a manner that will help National Wildlife Refuge managers and other field personnel addressing wildlife health issues at the field level.
The information in the Manual represents a composite of the contributors’ understanding of the scientific literature, their personal experiences with and investigations of the various diseases, and of information generously provided by colleagues within the wildlife disease and related fields. To download or read on-line, visit the Field Manual web page here.
