60th Wildlife Disease Association Annual Meeting

The 60th Wildlife Disease Association (WDA) Annual International Meeting will be held August 14 – 19, 2011. This is going to be the first time that this international meeting will take place in the Province of Québec or eastern Canada. The American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians (AAWV) will be meeting in conjunction with WDA and are one of the meetings sponsors.
This year’s theme, "Wildlife Resources in a Changing World", will highlight the historical and contemporary significance of wildlife species as a resource for both native and non-native inhabitants of the province of Quebec. This sustainable use of wildlife as a resource is increasingly challenged by the growing changes in ecosystems, population dynamics and intrinsic values that wildlife have in the modern world.

- Disease Ecology
- Surveys & New Reports
- Tools & Techniques
- Wildlife – Domestic - Human Animal Interface
- Socio-political Challenges of Disease Management
- Impact of diseases on wildlife resources
- Marine / aquatic health issues
- Canadian Wildlife
Who should attend and/or submit abstracts?
Wildlife biologists, wildlife managers, veterinarians, epidemiologists, ecologists, parasitologists, pathologists, microbiologists, or anyone interested in the management of wildlife populations, their health and health of humans using wildlife resources.
