In the Spotlight – Requesting Help from Our Readers

Official Release of the Latest Version of Global Wildlife Disease News Map Coming SoonRequesting Help from Our Readers
In January, the Wildlife Disease Information Node (WDIN) announced in the Digest that the latest beta version of the Global Wildlife Disease News Map (http://wildlifedisease.nbii.gov/newsmap) was available and open for user feedback and comments.

Recently we completed the final details on the map, and WDIN is preparing to issue an official press release in June through the University of Madison – Wisconsin and the United States Geological Survey announcing this newest iteration, version 3 of the Disease Map.

WDIN is looking for statements of support from people who use the Disease Map regularly. In addition to strengthening the press release, testimonials to the usefulness of the Disease Map would also go far to support future funding renewal requests for the project.

If you regularly use the Disease Map and are willing to send a brief quote or statement about how you use the Disease Map, you can email them to us at digest@wdin.org. Statements describing how the Disease Map benefits your area of study or helps you with your day-to-day work would be very helpful and much appreciated.

The WDIN team looks forward to continuing to provide our readers with the latest wildlife disease news and information through the services of the Digest and the Disease Map.
